We had a great stay during our holiday in Portugal, the restaurant was conveniently located with friendly and attentive staff, and we enjoyed ordering savory dishes for breakfast.

This pousada is a converted convent with many original features preserved including the courtyard and cloisters...it has an air of tranquility and history but does not compromise on modern facilities. The breakfast is excellent and the bedrooms spacious and well appointed. There is a beautiful garden with swimming pool and the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from town centre and riverside.

The Pousada de Tavira was a great place to stay, comfortable, clean and elegant with a friendly, efficient staff team looking after us. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and will return, we were very happy here.

The Pousada de Tavira met all our expectations and exceeded some.

Beautiful building and very good location

Interior design did not match the beauty of the building and should have either been kept as traditional eg in style with building or very moderna nd contemporary. Now it has destroyed the athmosphere it could have had and that ocul dhvae made it a hotel belonging to Small luxury hotels. Food was poor. I had better breakfast in small boutique hotels downtonw in Tavira; no fresh orange juice, bread hard and dry, cappucino made not fresh but from "machine", complicated to order breakfast instead of a fresh buffet that is time saving and staff saving, We ordered boiled eggs and did not get those etc etc..

It was an incredible base for our just perfect stay. Classic queen room with a huge terrace for soaking up the sun accommodated us perfectly. The breakfast was hot and varied, there was variety of food to chose from.

This place boasts a unique setting, amazing staff at the front desk, delicious and diverse breakfast options that rival those of a 4-star hotel, and newly renovated rooms with modern amenities like a minibar, air conditioning.

The breakfast was enjoyable and superb with sparkling wine and pastries, as example, and had all you need. Really enjoyed to spend 1 day in our new-fashioned classic room with view over the town and robes, as example.

Although everything was great, some of the staff were appalling.

The breakfast offered here was luxurious with sparkling wine and local delicacies, the location is tranquil and ideal, situated in a lovely area just a short walk from a train station.

Very nicely restored convent with cosy rooms. Marvellous location near the centre of the town, but quiet and with open space around. Excellent swimming pool in gardens bordered by old town walls.

Slightly difficult to find the way by car, but plenty of secure parking once you get there.

Well heated room - it is November, fine hotel, good location not far from Faro, very friendly staff, fine bathroom, good beds and bed covers,

dirty carpet in the room, stains on the wall paper, worn furniture, non-smoking room not available.

The Pousada Convento De Tavira was clean and tidy. The staff were caring, attentive, and provided exceptional service. The location was excellent, situated in a beautiful area close to the sea, mountains, rivers, and a lovely landscaped garden. I enjoyed having dinner and drinks at the nearby Come na Gaveta. my experience was amazing, and I highly recommend this place.

A hotel of such quality with a fantastic service ethos in such a beautiful town is a joy

The service was excellent and the staff were extremely polite at all times. The pool area was lovely. The food very good, particularly the breakfast and evening dinner. The hotel is very well located in Tavira.

If I was going to stay at the hotel again I would book a superior room. When I booked there were only standard room available and they are quite standard in terms of size and the bathroom.
